What Is Making Us Turn So Fat?

Good Nutrition Is Never Wrong

Your body is a direct result of your genetics, what you eat and how much you go to the gym. Well you don't have much control over your genetics, but you do have control over your diet and how much you work out. If you try to starve yourself to get thin you may be successful at first. However, you are doing damage to your body and eventually hunger will overcome you. That is why it is better to eat smart by eating healthy.

Balance Is Important

Good nutrition is all about balance. You'll not have to deny yourself the foods, treats, and even desserts you love. To avoid getting overweight you will need to balance these carefully. You should eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean meats and you should even take some nutrition supplements such as vitamins. Treats and desserts can be used to reward yourself for sticking to your nutrition plan all week. You can still splurge on your favorite foods one or two days a week as long as you eat well the rest of the week and incorporate exercise to burn off those extra calories.

If You're Overweight

If you feel you're overweight and you have a desire to shed some pounds, the only way it can be accomplished is with a healthy diet and exercise. If you eat a balanced diet, eat smaller meals more often (for example, eating six small snacks/meals each day) and take at least a half hour of exercise 3 to 5 times a week, and that weight will come off in no time. Weight loss has no quick fix.  It isn't going to be effortless. But you don't have to kill yourself with exercise like the people on the TV infomercials do. To lose weight you must have your nutrition needs met and then a few walks around the block will help to burn enough calories to lose the weight.
